In the spring of 2017, the garden behind the school started to get overgrown with weeds and there was no real organization to the area. A group of dedicated PTO volunteers decided to change that.
During the school community day in June, students and teachers helped build a garden bed and clean out some of the overgrowth. Over the summer, three more garden beds were built by volunteers and two others were moved. Some plants were moved and then mulch was spread to help keep the weeds down and create a more definitive garden area. We hope the NES garden is now a welcoming place that everyone will enjoy.
